Not just any cake, but the very first fondant cake I ever made – a special cake, crafted with love for my daughter’s first birthday.

I had just arrived in France, didn’t know many people, didn’t speak the language, and was far from home – without a grandmother to share her “secret cream recipe” or a mother to save the batter when it went wrong. It was just me, my friend Google, and an oven that literally spoke a different language.

It was a small experiment, born from the desire to see my little one’s eyes light up and a healthy dose of creative recklessness… and surprisingly, it turned out beautifully – both delicious and lovely to look at.

That cake sparked something in me, and from there, everything began: friends, acquaintances, and even complete strangers started asking me for cakes and sweets for every occasion, and I realized that this passion could become something more.

And so, MamaSte Cook was born: first as an idea, then as a real venture, and today as a handcrafted bakery where every sweet tells the story each child wants to share, where every creation is made with care and dedication to make every celebration special, and where everything is the result of study, patience, experiments, mishaps, and – of course – the authentic Italian tradition you can savor in every bite.
